"A Bunch of Amateurs" by Ian Hislop & Nick Newman An uplifting play which is a humorous homage to the much-loved world of Amateur Dramatics. The non-professional, yet nonetheless dedicated actors, who spend many volunteer hours trying to convince their audiences that they are some place far removed from the Roxley Hall in Thorpe St. Andrew on a cold, rainy Saturday night. What happens when a professional actor from the movies unwittingly finds himself involved in an upcoming production? As is the usual case with all Am Dram scenarios it’s as crazy backstage as it is enjoyable to be on stage. A contemporary comedy poking fun at some of the everyday trials of Amateur Theatre.
